Privacy Policy

The short version. The Your Focus Is Your Future application runs entirely on your own computer. We do not operate a server that receives your content, we do not have accounts, and we cannot see what you create. Scripts, audio, video and settings stay in a folder on your machine. When you choose to publish to YouTube, the application talks directly from your computer to Google using your own Google sign-in — the files do not pass through us.
1. Who we are

It covers both the website at yourfocusisyourfuture.co.uk and the Your Focus Is Your Future desktop application for Windows (the "Application").

2. The website
The website is an informational site. It does not ask you to create an account and does not require you to submit personal information in order to read it.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical information for every request — IP address, date and time, the page requested, browser user-agent and referring page. This is used only to keep the site running and secure, and to diagnose faults.
- Cookies. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If a strictly necessary cookie is ever set by the hosting platform (for example for security or load balancing), it is used only for that purpose.
- Email. If you email us, we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and to keep a record of it.
3. The Application: what is stored, and where
The Application is a local program. Everything it produces is written to a folder in your own
Windows user profile, under %LocalAppData%\MeditationTTS. There is no account to
create, no sign-up, and no copy sent to us.

We receive none of this. Deleting the folder, or uninstalling the Application, removes it.
4. Google and YouTube data
The Application uses YouTube API Services so that you can publish your own videos to your own channel.
By using the parts of the Application that connect to YouTube, you are also agreeing to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
What we access
When you choose to sign in, Google shows you a consent screen and you authorise the Application directly. It then requests only what it needs to upload on your behalf:
- Permission to upload videos to the channel you sign in with.
- Permission to read basic channel details (channel name and handle) — used solely to display which channel you are signed in as, so you do not publish to the wrong one.
What happens to it
- The video file, title, description, tags and privacy setting you choose are sent directly from your computer to YouTube. They do not pass through any server of ours, and we keep no copy.
- Google returns a refresh token, which is stored on your computer so you do not have to sign in every time. It is not transmitted to us.
- We do not read your viewing history, subscriptions, comments, private videos, or analytics, and we do not modify or delete existing content on your channel.
- We do not sell, share, or transfer Google user data to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising or to build any profile of you.
Withdrawing access
You are in control and can cut off access at any time, in either of two ways:
- In the Application: use Sign out on the Upload page, which deletes the stored token from your computer.
- At Google: revoke the Application entirely at the Google security settings page. This works even if the Application is uninstalled.
5. Other services the Application contacts
Depending on which features you use, the Application may make connections from your computer to the following third parties. Each happens only when you use that feature.

Speech transcription runs locally on your machine. Audio is not uploaded to any transcription service.
6. Lawful basis
- Legitimate interests — keeping the website secure and operational, and responding to enquiries you send us.
- Consent — connecting your Google account, which you give on Google's own consent screen and can withdraw at any time as described above.
- Contract — providing the Application to you under its terms of use.
7. Retention
Content created in the Application stays on your computer until you delete it; we hold no copy and therefore cannot delete it for you. Website server logs are kept for a short period by the hosting provider for security and troubleshooting. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the matter they concern.
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or port your personal data. Because we hold almost nothing about you, most requests will be answered by confirming that fact. Write to [CONTACT EMAIL].
If you are unhappy with our response you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK supervisory authority for data protection.
9. Children
The website and the Application are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
10. Security
The website is served over HTTPS. Within the Application, credentials you enter are encrypted using the Windows Data Protection API so that they can be read only by your Windows user account. Because your files live on your own machine, their security also depends on how that machine is protected — keep your device locked and up to date.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed, and material changes will be noted on this page.
